Holidays, Relaxation & Reflection

What a year 2008 was! Stock market declines, volatility, scandals, politics, war, terrorism ... But above and beyond, inexplicably intertwined with these events and players are our lives. Impacted, influenced and driven by the world around us.

The end of the year, the holiday season, time to spend with friends/family, kick back and relax. This is also an excellent time to ponder your life. Where are you in this wonderful journey? Why do you fixate on the things you do? What next? Why do you want to be rich? Why do you want to retire? Why do you seek that promotion? Why do you seek another job? Why this and why that?

A little reflection on your core values, beliefs and drivers helps flush out some of the answers. There is a reason why we do what we do - but sometimes we don't delve deep within ourselves to find out why. I believe the answer lies within and a little introspection is needed to get to the true nature of who we are.

I have lasted more than a year as a blogger and I wanted to thank my readers for their encouragement and interest in my posts.

Thank you, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
